The Thai HoN scene stays unpredictable, as the most recent results in the fourth Cycle of Thai HoN Tour showcased perfectly. After weeks of Neo.MRR and Snoop Dogg being considered the best and most consistent teams in the region, destined to clash in almost every Grand Finals event to come, Get Together announced their return to the big time with a stellar performance throughout the group stage.

Ever since Snoop Dogg took over the news cycle, played at the biggest stages and was considered the best of the upcoming teams, Get Together was pushed in the background a bit. Only domestically they could compete, but outside of Thailand their brand was as unknown as the contents of the Pulp Fiction briefcase. Now they might still not get the global spotlight shone on them, but at least they return to glory on their national stage.

Not only did the Get Together squad finish first in the round robin phase of the fourth cycle, but they also did it in a spectacular fashion. 43 points out of 15 games is a mark only a few teams have ever reached before, including the legendary Orange eSports in the SEA HoN Tour a year ago or Neolution eSports.MRR at their undisputed haydays. Now Get Together is joining that club of record breaking clubs in the round robin stage, only giving away one single map from the 30 they played throughout the cycle.

The way the system works over in Thailand, this first place is not just a case for the record books and personal vita of the players, but also a huge boost for the upcoming postseason in the Garena Thai studios. The last cycle will be played there just this weekend and Get Together is already in the Grand Finals of that event. It will be the second appearance in the Grand Finals of a cycle for Get Together in this season, following their good performance in Cycle 1. Overall Get Together will make their third trip to the Grand Finals, proving all the doubters wrong, that the consistency of the rising stars was not just a “one season thing”.

Squaring off with them in the Grand Finals for the last cycle championship of the fourth Thai HoN Tour season will either be Neolution eSports.MRR or Snoop Dogg. The rivalry of these two will continue with lower stakes this time, as one team will only finish the cycle third - a momentum killer right before DreamHack. Whoever has the advantage in this match is hard to determine based on the round robin results. Snoop Dogg could only win 11 times, while tying there other four - on the flipside this still means that they reached the postseason with an undefeated record. For Neolution eSports.MRR the tale of the tape is different in that regard, since the dynasty team of Thailand suffered defeat in the regular season twice now - after not having that experience for a very long time. Usually MRR was marching through these regular seasons, either winning or tying every series. That consistency and dominance not just in the postseason, but also in the regular season made them the best squad in Thailand, feared even across the borders.

Now that aura of impunity seems to be slipping and sliding away from them, bit by bit. In Cycle 3 they were defeated in the Grand Finals by Snoop Dogg, now they start losing regular season games against two of their biggest rivals. So unlike every other event before, now it will be gut check time for Neolution eSports.MRR - a unique opportunity for redemption. Both teams they lost to in the regular season, might be their opponents in the postseason. First they can get the momentum back against Snoop Dogg, then they could crush the hopes and dreams of Get Together all together. By virtue of doing that, the old dynasty, the old forces would once more strike against the two big up-and-coming teams.

So who will take the last cycle of the fourth Thai HoN Tour, before the big playoff stage kicks off just a day after the events in studio. That Neolution eSports.MRR, Get Together and Snoop Dogg will play in that event as well is clear by now, but the seeding can still change. A title by Get Together might change up everything dramatically, maybe even pushing out Snoop Dogg from the second place - and therefore bye in the first round. We will see what happens in Bangkok, Thailand this weekend when the best three teams of Thailand go at it for the last time this season. Can Get Together make history? Will Snoop Dogg repeat? Or will Neolution eSports.MRR walk away victorious once more? All the answers will be given on Sunday and can be seen on the official Garena Thai Youtube channel.
