Today was the day, the second and last day of the HoN Tour Grand Finals, and it was kicked off with the match for third place with 12000$ on the line. [LION]Lions eSportsKlubb
Game 1
In the first game we saw LIONS on the Legion side. They picked Torturer for Handsken, Monkey King for Superkge, Keeper of the Forest for Krebsen, Sealkid got Engineer and finally Flensmeister on Draconis. On the other side, Complexity chose Magmus for bkid, Aluna for Franzzii, Haxxeren got Wretched Hag, Riser_ played Ophelia and MoonMeander played Tempest.

As it is with everything on the line here, both teams were careful in their early game. Draconis was almost caught off position but he quickly ran away and Complexity was unable to get an early advantage. But they did not have to rush anyways, they had a jungler, so the advantage would be theirs eventually anyways, unless something went horribly wrong. But everything went well, in the fifth minute Wretched Hag and Ophelia made quick work of Keeper of the Forest, who did not see the gank coming. Making use of the opportunity, they continued to push the lane and secured the first tower kill a minute later.
LIONS seemed to be caught off guard a little, they still continued with their game, but every now and then Complexity found an opening and got a hero kill in the following minutes, getting a solid lead of 5 to zero hero kills after 16 minutes. Using their dominance wisely, they killed Kongor around 21 minutes and forced several small skirmishes, resulting in three quick pickoffs within one minute. But they did not yet feel comfortable enough, a push of the bottom lane was met with a counter-push on the top lane and both teams broke it off early not to risk anything.
A surprise teamfight near the 28th minute resulted in big plays by Complexity, taking out 4 LIONS players and pushing the bottom lane. At this point there was not much LIONS could do to fight the Complexity dominance. And so it was no surprise that the bottom barracks fell quickly after on the Legion side and another prolonged teamfight some minutes later sealed the deal, causing LIONS to concede this first game of the series.
Complexity wins the first game!
Game 2
The second game started right after and this time it was Complexity on the Legion side, with bkid on Hammerstorm, Franzzii on Aluna, Haxxeren on Wretched Hag, Riser_ as Parasite and Moonmeander with Keeper of the Forest. On the Hellbourne side we had LIONS with Handsken playing Ophelia, Superkge on Pebbles, Krebsen played Tempest, Sealkid played Engineer and finally Flensmeister with Soul Reaper.

The game started out just like the last one, careful plays, but it did not take Complexity that long for the first blood. Around the third minute, Parasite managed to kill Hammerstorm and secure the extra bloodlust gold. In the early game, Complexity seemed to be a little ahead, maybe because they played the last game so dominantly and it showed, as their stats were constantly a tad bit ahead. During a teamfight near the tenth minute, they also showed their advantage when they killed two LIONS while only losing one of their own.
But LIONS were not done yet. Four minutes later they engaged in another big teamfight and thanks to an awesome Tempest ultimate, they came out in favor this time. It was now their time to shine. So they began pushing towers a few minutes further into the game with moderate success. Around the 20th minute they also took out Kongor and tried to engage into another teamfight, which succeeded, allowing them to push the middle lane, even kill that tower. They retreated, making Complexity chase them and even though it was close, LIONS turned around and pushed the Legion back deep into their base once again. The mid barracks fell subsequently and after Kongor respawned and Complexity failed to initiate on LIONS once more, LIONS pushed into the Legion base another time, destroying all valuables while Complexity was left no way out and to concede.
LIONS come back and take the second game!
Game 3
In the final game of this matchup we had Lions on the Legion side again. Handsken decided to play Ophelia, Superkge got Monkey King, Krebsen played Bubbles, Sealkid with Glacius and Flensmeister on Soul Reaper. On the Hellbourne side, Complexity had bkid on Pebbles, Franzzii with Master of Arms, Haxxeren with Wretched Hag, Riser_ with Keeper of the Forest and MoonMeander with Rally.

As usual, both teams start with no surprises. Several small fights in the mid lane result in a kill for Monkey King on Pebbles at 5:30, giving a small advantage for LIONS. And they kept on the pressure, during the next few minutes they pushed both bottom towers, destroying them and gaining a significant gold lead this early in the game. After this both teams went back to a slower pacing and it took until the 13th minute for them to get really active again, with both teams pushing towers.
Around the 20 minute mark, Complexity managed to get another pickup on a hero, setting the kill counter 4-3 in their favor, however LIONS had already destroyed all of the Hellbournes outer towers, keeping the gold lead far on their side. A battle at Kongor was brewing and around the 24th minute, the teams clashed there, only to retreat again. LIONS attempted Kongor again 2 minutes later and managed to kill the big, fluffy gorilla. With the token on their side, LIONS attempted to build up their advantage, forcing a push in the middle. And even though all of LIONS survived this fight and Complexity took heavy losses, the melee barracks survived the encounter.
LIONS could now smell victory and around 33:00 they attempted to destroy the melee barracks in the middle again, but again Complexity stood their ground. Not really sure what to do now, both teams waited for Kongor and after a short clash near his pit, Complexity took Kongor out, finally gaining the upper hand for once. Just 2 minutes later, another fight erupted around the Kongor pit and Complexity was able to win once more. 44 minutes into the game it was now time for Complexity to get some pushing done. They caught Ophelia completely out of position and initiated a big teamfight in the following minute, in which LIONS struggled to defend. Their middle barracks got low but eventually pushed the Hellbourne out. As things cooled down, however, Wretched Hag teleported in and took out the melee barracks before anyone was able to react.
LIONS saw their victory vanishing in front of their eyes and so they tried to take the fight back to Complexity. The result was a catastrophe, Complexity survived the onslaught and counterattacked into the Legion base, taking another melee barracks. This desperate push from LIONS happened two more times, but both times Complexity stood firm and defended, each time punishing the Legion team after that. At the 52th minute, Complexity made their final push and LIONS conceded the game after losing all their barracks.
Complexity took the third game and is now officially third place in the HoN Tour Grand Finals!
