Many of you have asked me to interview The Experience Gaming – So here we go! We sit down with the almighty Akke this time!

Hello Akke. Can you help us get to know you a little better?

Hey! My name is Joakim Akterhall and I'm 24 years old. I recently got a Bachelor's degree in computer science (game programming), so you can see that my interest for games in general in pretty big, hehe. :)

You were one of the top names in the HoN competitive scene, but you have been missing for quite a long time. Why did you leave and what were you doing while you were gone?

I basically left to play DotA2 competitively, which is what I'm still doing, but I always wanted to come back to play the HoN Tour!

What made you come back to HoN and what are your goals?

The system HoN Tour has with the ingame matching is awesome (when it works! ^^) and the layout of the tournament/league is really nice as well. I'm just sticking here for HoN Tour though so our goals aren’t that high, haha.

The Experience Gaming[/b][/url]: let's meet the team!

Our team consists of me, Loda, Miracle (SpaderX), Niqua and Noez`.

Loda is our hard carry and ingame leader; most of you probably know him! Our team roles in HoN are pretty random—sometimes I play the hard support and in one of the games last weekend I played Wildsoul carry. :)

Miracle and Niqua play offlane/support I guess. Miracle has been playing on the same team as me so far In DotA2, so he is a good friend of ours and Niqua has been active as well.

Noez is an awesome solo mid player so he is really needed on our team! We are basically a bunch of friends who are playing this for fun. :D

We also have strangby as a stand-in, and he is a really, really solid one. He was active in the HoN scene when I was as well so I've known him for a long time.

Why do you think you will work well as a team?

I don't expect us to do any miracles (except Miracle...) since we pretty much only rely on our old HoN skills and current DotA2 skills, but all of us have played before so I think we just get better and better. Like, the first game I played I even forgot how to upgrade chicken and stuff like that. x)

You have been gone for some time and HoN has had a lot of changes. How was your transition process, and how do you like the new changes, such as balance, new heroes, and the lock pick mode?

I'm not that into changes of heroes and stuff but I've been asking around about the current metagame, what people pick and stuff like that. I guess it's fine, as I heard it's pretty much push oriented (correct me if I'm wrong) but I don't see any problem with early aggression.

It's still hard for us since there have been like 10 new heroes that we have absolutely no idea what they do. We refer to them as "The guy with the spear" and stuff like that. :D

Do you think your absence from the HoN scene as a team will effect your performance in HoN Tour?

Yeah... :)

Is your team dedicated to HoN Tour at the moment or do you have other plans in mind, and are you planning to stick around after the event?

It's fun to play it but at the same time I guess everyone has other stuff that they also focus on. I will most likely not stick around after the event since I play a lot of DotA2.

I'm sure you have done your research; do you have any teams in mind that you fear to face in HoN Tour?

Actually I have no idea. But when I see old names that still are playing HoN I kinda understand and feel like they are good! :)

It is really nice to have you all back in HoN; what is your team's opinion on coming back? Did you guys miss the scene and the environment?

There is a lot of stuff I missed about HoN indeed, but at the same time it's always hard to switch to a game which you haven't been playing for a long time. It takes time to adjust, but I like it!

Again, a lot of balance changes were made while you guys were gone. Do you think HoN is moving in the right direction? Do you have any changes that you would like to see, or any heroes/items you consider “broken” at the moment?

This question is pretty hard for me to answer since I have no idea what changes that have been made. :\

Once more, welcome back and I hope everything turns out the way you like them to! It's been a pleasure to speak with you and it is very nice to have you guys back in the scene. Do you have any shoutouts to make?

Thanks, shoutout to my team and my girlfriend! And also, if you wanna follow me you can add me on twitter @FollowAkke.
