Cycle 3 blasted off last weekend and it was a very satisfying weekend indeed. All eight of the Diamond Division teams had at least one match, with several going two or more and we got some interesting results as well as a change of dynamics due to changes within a certain team. Let's take a quick look at the teams and their standings after the first week before we head into yet another action packed weekend.

[BMG]BadMonkeyGaming
After the debacle of last Cycle, BMG seems to be back in the saddle again. They played a whole of 5 matches during the weekend and won two of those as well as two draws and one loss. 8 points isn't too bad right now, they defeated the teams they were expected to win against and got a good draw result against compLexity Gaming, so if they can keep it up the last two matches, they have a reasonable chance to get into the Playoffs.

The North American team had three matches last weekend and they did pretty well, winning two of them and having one draw. This puts them in the top half of the Group and they are a good candidate to make it into the Playoffs into the Winners Bracket right away, if they can keep it up. They already defeated the Champions of last Cycle, Fresh, so everything that comes after should be easier, right?

[Mint]Fresh
Speaking of Fresh, five matches on the weekend and two during the week for the Champions of Cycle 2, and two wins, two draws and three losses were the result of that. The 8 points they have now isn't too bad, but after how well they performed last Cycle and how good the direct competition is doing right now, Fresh has been a bit disappointing so far. If their fate is now out of their hands, as they hope to squeak into the Playoffs.

[PanY]Pannys Boys
Pannys Boys aka the remains of Ex-Sync had three matches set to be played last weekend and the result was pretty bleak: one draw and two losses. This shows that the team isn't as strong as Ex-Sync was and that they need to grow together as a team first before making any big steps. Fortunately, they stepped up with a huge 2-0 win over Fresh during the week. This Cycle will be all about survival for the boys, but that three points put a spark of hope into the dream.

[ECx]Evil Corporation
Evil Corporation had a relaxed weekend, with only one match set up for them, but they grabbed two more matches on Tuesday. Their high profile weekend match against Fresh, went in their favor, giving them three points and the good feeling to have beaten the current Champions. They followed up with two more wins against the new Reason Gaming and Revolution, making a shot at the Winners Bracket in the Playoffs look like a very real possibility.

[Rea]Reason Gaming
The new Reason Gaming were challenged twice on the weekend and made quite an impression, getting them four points from a win and a draw, nearly as many as their total points from Cycle 1 and 2 together. It seems that the new Cycle, the sponsorship and other changes had a positive effect on them and they might surprise us this Cycle by making it to the Playoffs if noone manages to stop them.

[REXZ]Rexxars Reborn
The Rexxars also had two matches to play on the weekend, and one during the week, but for them things did not go as well. Only two points in total after a loss and two draws is the result and while this may seem pretty bad at first, but it isn't really. They got a draw from Fresh, the current Champions, and lost to BMG, who had a pretty good weekend. Nothing is lost yet and there are four more matches to come, there might be more points in their future.

[REVO]Revolution
The last of the eight, Revolution played three times over the weekend and scored a total of a whole point from a draw, while losing twice. The two losses were against BMG and Fresh, so it was kind of expected, it's the draw that can give this team hope. They got their point from Pannys Boys, which, for a lesser known and not too strong team like Revolution can be quite the motivation. They carried that into the week with another point from a draw with Rexxars, while they weren’t quite strong enough for Evil Corporation, falling 0-2.

Tune in this Saturday and Sunday to catch the end of the Group Stage, and the setup for the Cycle 3 Playoffs.Honcast will cover all of these matches live, so make sure to tune in on time and see HoN Tour Season 4 progress further. Good Luck and Have Fun to all teams and players!
