Bad Monkey Gaming were ice-cold on Wednesday as the Carnage in Caldavar Pro League continued with weekday matches. Despite going up against their good friend iNsania, they showed no mercy in dominating their opponents, REXXARS.
The REXXARS punish an attempted early ward
The fUzi Stealers
Game one showed a typical draft for both sides; the Beastmasters went for an all-in Moon Queen strategy while BMG stuck with their trademark aggressive style. The Bloodlust kill was claimed before the creeps spawned when REXXARS caught an unsuspecting Handsken in his own jungle.
The storyline of the laning phase was the complete control of the safe lane by fUzi’s Soulstealer. He was sporting an astonishing 27-17 creep score lead over GREENREXXAR’s Kraken’s 6-0 at the four minute mark. Nevertheless, the REXXARS made the most out of a bad situation by zoning out Limmp’s Bubbles very effectively and setting up kills in the middle lane. A teamfight suddenly erupted in the bottom lane when REXXARS punished a botched gank with TP rotations. BMG came out commandingly ahead, with Soulstealer picking up a hat trick in the process, and emerging from the destruction with a cool 500 GPM.
The REXXARS shifted to a defensive approach, realizing they were so far behind that teamfights were not an option until Moon Queen had caught up. Unfortunately, BMG are the best in the business at finding kills, and the Beastmasters struggled to safely find farm around the map. The Monkeys knew they were in a great spot and forced the issue, demolishing their opponents’ towers and forcing engagements wherever they went. REXXARS tenuously took a team fight in their own jungle, but were genocided after a bait by Sir Blazington. BMG took Kongor and pushed mid, ending the game at the 27 minute mark when REXXARS conceded.
Thunderbringer and Kraken had outstanding performances
Bad… Thunder Monkeys!?
Game two was a real treat for viewers when both teams opted for exciting heroes. BMG went for the throwback pick with Thunderbringer - handled by Limmp - soloing the middle lane. REXXARS were also old school with a Puppet, Myrmidon, and Andromeda trilane in the bottom lane. BMG chose to contest this with their own trilane of Swiftblade, Empath, and Prophet. Bloodlust was narrowly claimed by REXXARS as the teams traded kills in the bottom lane, with REDREXXAR’s Andromeda picking up the kill on Sealkid’s Empath right before going down himself.
The trilane was predictably hectic, with both teams trading kills back and forth. However, BMG once again outclassed REXXARS in the solo lanes as Thunderbringer demolished LILAREXXAR’s Bubbles middle. Limmp was an impressive 3/0/1 with 400 GPM prior to 10 minutes, even picking up two solo kills on his lane opponent and assisting in other lanes with his ultimate. The shining hope for REXXARS was Kraken, who after an incredibly weak performance in the previous game was out to redeem himself. He netted a hat-trick in the bottom lane after a TP rotation and there was a glimmer of hope for iNsania’s squad. Unfortunately, multiple clashes in the bottom lane ended very poorly for the REXXARS, with BMG trading favorably in kills and Limmp beginning to quickly snowball out of control.
GREENREXXAR still continued to impress, however, picking up an early Portal Key at the 12 minute mark and continuing to find kills in the bottom lane. Regrettably, the rest of his team was suffering terribly, especially a 0/9/5 Bubbles. Both teams continued to clash against each other in the bottom lane, and by the 15 minute mark BMG had taken a game-ending teamfight. The final kill score featured a whopping 24 to 15 in BMG’s favor, and the REXXARS conceded at the 17 minute mark following an especially dreadful teamfight. Amazingly enough, Kraken ended the game 10/0/0 despite his team being undeniably crushed.
