When I started this, I wanted show both the professional and the private side of this team and its players. And because I talked a lot about gaming last time after the weekend matches, this time I will tell a little about the players.

I've been with [357]QsQ for almost a week now and after a little confusion at the beginning with all the unknown voices and a stressful schedule, I think I finally got a glimpse of the personalities behind these players.

I will start with the youngest of them all, Style. He is the one who currently impresses me most. He is already a very good player and has the potential for even more. But although he may be young and his culinary preferences might not show it, he is quite mature when it comes to gaming. Even when he has a bad day, there is no drama. He might not be in the mood to talk to anyone, but he is still there and plays as well as ever. This is far more professional than many veteran players, and I respect that very much.

Another player that really shines at the moment is Jonassomfan. I remember reviewing the first match for HoN Tour, where QsQ took on [TteS]Tt eSPORTS. He was so good in all of those games and an important factor for their current victories. And he does it in such a calm and modest manner, it is amazing. I remember one scrim when there was a lot of action in mid and it got really loud because so much happened at once; while in the end nothing much happened there, Jonassomfan took out two heroes by himself in the Hellbourne jungle without yelling once. The rest of the team was as surprised as I was—we did not even notice until it said "Double-Tap!”

Malle is a very friendly guy from what I can tell so far. He's rarely annoyed and always in a good mood, even when things look grim. And he can be extremely silly when things go well. Time and again I laughed so hard because of one of his comments; together with NoX he can be quite entertaining to say the least. He never lets things get out of hand and helps to brighten the mood of the whole team, though he never overdoes it to the point of putting the team at risk.

NoX is pretty well known to many; an excellent carry player and a fun person to be around. He is also very reliable and shines time and again when carrying the team to victory. I really need to get to know him a bit better, because I did not pay that much attention to him yet—the attention is usually on other players in the early game while he is farming, and later on it's all action and little talk. Maybe it's been because of the stress last weekend or the day(s) off from playing, but I will certainly pay more attention to him from now on.

Speaking of well known players, NoVa is the most prominent member of the team and I think almost everyone in the community knows him. Famous since his days with FnaticRC, NoVa was the initiator for the entire QsQ project. As you saw from his recent HoNCast interview, he always appears badass, yet cool and friendly. And I can tell you that he is just like that when they play. He gets a little disappointed from time to time about himself when he messes up or dies a lot ingame, and he can be a little impatient when the team messes up as a whole or does not listen to him, but in general he's the calm center of the team and the cornerstone of QsQ.

After the regular players we have Insomnia. I think he's both the brain and the heart of the team. Before every important match he does extensive research about their opponents, he keeps up-to-date with all the major teams about their strategies in general and even though he might not be very good at playing the game (he said so himself, I would not know, he's way better than me still), he knows the mechanics and the Meta so well that his advice is always an addition. He also cares a lot for his teammates, gives constructive criticism when needed, praises them when they deserve it and does his best to keep their spirits up, getting them to try and become better every day.

Finally there is Slate. I can't say much about him yet, as I have never seen him in action; he is their substitute player in case one of the regulars can't play. And so far he has been there at all times, making the effort to be ready even though he hasn’t been needed. That takes just as much dedication as playing as a regular, perhaps even more because he never really gets to be in the spotlight. A true asset to the team.

These are my impressions so far after one week of being with QsQ. I am sure there is much that I have missed because one week really isn't that much time to get to know seven people. That's why I am glad HoN Tour will go on for many more weeks. It's been so much fun with them so far and with the Semi Finals coming up for this cycle, it's only getting more exciting.

If you also want to get to know them a little, many of them are actively streaming their games when they play on their own. Tune in to NoVa, NoX, Malle, Style and Slate while they do their magic!

See you next week!
