Cycle 5 of the HoN Tour Season 4 has concluded for all but four teams. These four teams are in the Diamond Division Playoffs now and this weekend will be the time to decide who the new Champions will be. And with [ECx]Evil Corporation not qualifying for the Playoffs, we will once more have a new team becoming Champions - no team has managed to win the Playoffs twice in a row so far.

Saturday will start off with the Loser’s Bracket match of [BMG]BadMonkeyGaming versus [Mint]Fresh at 12:00 EST | 18:00 CET. Both teams did reasonably well this Cycle with three wins, three draws and only one loss, which is pretty much the same result as last Cycle for Fresh. But a big improvement again for BMG, who did not fare very well last time. Looking at the Group results, BMG should have an upper hand here, as they won their previous match against Fresh 2-0. But if we have learned anything from HoN Tour Season 4, it is that matches and Cycles are absolutely unpredictable and anything could happen. Fresh is known to have big ups and downs, and since they are neither right now, it could go either way. This matchup is the perfect start for the weekend, and it will only get better from there!

At 15:00 EST | 21:00 CET we will then have the Winner’s Bracket Finals, where [coL]compLexity Gaming and [Sync]Sync eSports will meet and lock horns once more. compLexity Gaming could be considered the favourite to win here, as they had more points in the Group Phase and have won Cycle Grand Finals twice in the past, but Sync has defeated them during the Group Phase and after all the team rearrangements, Sync has become extremely good again, almost rivaling their old setup. Once more everything is possible in this match, only at an even higher level if that is at all possible. The winner of this match will move on to the Grand Finals while the loser has to do an extra round in the Loser’s Bracket and face possible defeat there, so winning this would go a long way to feeling more comfortable and winning the whole thing.

On Sunday then we will have the Loser’s Bracket Finals at 12:00 EST | 18:00 CET, where the winner of the LB match will play against the loser of the WB Finals and later at 15:00 EST | 21:00 CET, the winner of that match will face off against the WB Finals winner in the Grand Finals, which will then conclude Cycle 5 in full and give us the new Champions of Cycle 5. Exciting times ahead!

Honcast will cover all of these matches live, so tune in and enjoy the show, things are getting serious!
