HoN Tour Season 4 Cycle 7 started off last weekend with only a handful of matches played during the weekend, which meant that we would enjoy an increased number of matches during the weekdays. Now that it’s Friday, most of these matches have been played and it's time to add up the results and look at the standings.

Top 4

Having finished their run early, [coL]compLexity Gaming is currently at the top of the Group with twelve points from three wins, three draws, and one loss. With twelve points they should very well be in Playoffs range, but since they do not have any matches left and several other teams could still gain that many points, it will be a nail biting weekend for the Americans. Their closest competition right now are the boys from [ECx]Evil Corporation, who have eleven points in total from three wins and two draws. Two more matches are left for ECx, so there is a good chance that they will overtake compLexity. This would be well deserved, as the corporate guys were the only team capable of taking coL out in the Group stage.

A bit further behind are two teams that could not be more different. One, [Sync]Sync eSports, was expected to be here, and their eight points from two wins and two draws are proof that they are having a very good cycle. It seems like a small step for them to pass coL and perhaps even ECx this weekend, the three upcoming matches could give them a total of seventeen points. The other team up here with eight points is [PinE]Pingudancers eSports. The team once known as TwoZero has reformed for the new year and nobody really expected them to go anywhere. Yet they managed to net eight points from two wins, two draws, and a loss. There's still two matches to be played, so we might see them soar as high as ever, which would be a big achievement for this team as it is now.

The Other 4

Calling them Bottom 4 would be wrong, as all of them still have a theoretical chance to get into the Playoffs. Let's start with their leader, [LGT]LGT Gaming. The "other" Americans had four matches so far and liberated four points in total from them, with one victory, one draw, and two losses. Three matches are left for them now and two of them will be against their close competitors in the current standings, so it will be interesting to see who succeeds here. One of these teams is [Mint]Fresh, who have only played three matches so far and which has not been very effective, as they only one point from a draw and two losses. The situation is not looking very positive right now, but they did show some fight in the matches they played and with four more matches to go, it is entirely possible for them to get into the Playoffs or at least make it out of the Relegation zone.

[BMG]BadMonkeyGaming are also still in the mix. They also only have one point so far from a draw and a loss, but with five matches still to go, they have a great chance to get something going. A theoretical total of sixteen points are possible and BMG knows how to take the field from behind. The team who had it the toughest so far in this Cycle are also still at least able to make it out of the Relegation zone: [Hex]Polymorph. Four losses for them so far might be a little depressing, but part of being a top-tier team is knowing how to deal with these situations. They can still get nine points in total, which could mean dodging Relegations. And if the odds are so much in their favour, they could still get into the Playoffs, provided that all the other teams play perfectly horrible. Unlikely? Yes. Almost impossible? Kinda, yea...but not completely impossible.

We will have the match [BMG]BadMonkeyGaming versus [Hex]Polymorph this Friday at 13:00 EST | 19:00 CET, followed by the scheduled regular matches on Saturday and Sunday, which will start as usual at 12:00 EST | 18:00 CET and will be covered live by Honcast. Tune in and have a good time with us, a whole weekend of quality HoN lies ahead!
