Often seen with his red scarf at competitions, Aydin Sarkohi goes by “iNsania” online and heads the team formerly known as Sync eSports. Last Season he led his team to win an incredible seven Cycles out of eight, ranking them first in HoN Tour Points by a country mile. With a slight roster change from DreamHack Summer, his team now consists of Maurice "KheZu" Gutmann, Pontus "Zlapped" Mähler, Micke "m'ICKe" Nguyen, and Mathias "Mathias``(Ownedme)"; Huynh.
How are you feeling about your team and the roster changes that have gone on in the other teams?
I feel great about our team. The feeling hasn’t changed since I personally joined. The goal was always to be the best and still is. We always had what it took to be the best and we still do. The only thing separating us from the number one spot is hard work.
What do you think about the changes to HoN Tour Season 4’s format?
I haven’t really paid too much attention to it, but from what I've understood it means more games, which would mean more chances to prove ourselves, which is a good thing.
What do you think about the new Community Funded eSports Initiative, Paragon?
Anytime the community is allowed to support its competitive scene it's a great thing, and I think our community really proved themselves last year when we managed to blow everyone's expectations with the Grand Final’s prize pool.
Who do you think the favorite team going into Cycle 1 is?
I think we should always be the favorites. Why? Because we're the hardest working team out there. Nobody else puts in the hours we do.
Originally it was reported Micke was leaving Sync eSports and HoN, can you give us a little insight to what happened exactly happened? What made him decide to come back?
Micke never said he was leaving HoN, he just left the team. Many people misinterpreted this as him quitting HoN and being done.
I don’t want to go into too much detail about what happened, but after all of our tryouts I personally approached him to convince him to come back to the team and it all worked out.
Your roster is almost identical to last season, and yet you’re no longer “Sync eSports” - is there going to be an announcement of a new team name soon?
Soon (tm)
With your new addition of OwnedMe, positions in your team are shifting - how do you think that will affect this coming season?
OwnedMe is a fantastic player who offers a lot of versatility. I think our team will be one of the first teams in history that won’t really be "role" dependant, but rather hero dependant. It'll give us an interesting edge over other teams because it will make our laning extremely hard to read.
Can you go a little more in depth into what you mean by "hero dependant"?
Well, instead of having individual roles as many other teams do, where you'll statically be playing the same position no matter what, we will be having heroes that our players play regardless of lane that it is in.
So say we pick Amun-Ra and KheZu is an amazing Amun-Ra player. That would mean that KheZu plays it regardless of if it's suicide or not.
After your losses at the HoN Tour Season 3 World Finals and DreamHack Summer, how has your team reacted?
We were disappointed to say the least. I'd argue some of us were straight up depressed after the HoN Tour Season 3 World Finals and our confidence took a big hit at that event. Even though we placed okay at DreamHack Summer, I don't think we were fully out of our ‘depression’ yet, but I think we are now, and we're ready to prove it.
How would you rank you and your teammates hair?
KheZu probably has the best hair the HoN community has ever seen. Everything Micke touches becomes amazing, so I think he'd be number two. I'll take a humble third position and OwnedMe is right underneath, just barely fourth. Who's our fifth again?
